A Very Partisan Election Watch (and we make no apologies about it)
Join us for this year's historic election night as the returns roll in. Yes, Domku will actually have a TV for this night (it's true) because it’s that important. Watch beer prices fall as Obama’s electoral wins rise. If we’re lucky, by the end of the night, they might be almost free. And don't forget to VOTE before you come in. We'll be open for as long as we can take it.
Also:
Community Karaoke, Saturday, November 1
The First Saturday of every month from 9:30pm-12:30am. Nothing builds community like a good sing-along! Reverse Happy Hour drink specials after 10pm, $4 on Rogue Dead Guy & Krusovice drafts, Glogg $3, Aquavit $3 shot, $5 Rail Martinis.
Pierogi Night, Wednesday, Nov. 12
8 kinds of pierogi, from savory to sweet, from the very traditional to the “fusion” varieties. Smacznego! (Bon appetit!)
4th Annual Upshur Street Arts Fair, Saturday, December 13th
A call to local artists: Prepare yourselves now! Tell all your fellow artists and craftsy folk and let’s make this year’s event the best yet. Sign-up begins November 1st with space given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Coming soon
The return of our Winter Weekend Getaway menus - this year we’ll feature food from Turkey, France & Italy (subject to change) Begins in in December.
Starting at 7pm, for every 25 electoral points in Obama's favor, prices on Rogue, Jever, and house wines will drop by 25 cents. If Obama wins, there will be a round of free drinks for 10 minutes following the win. Seriously.

This is a great idea! Nothing says a restaurant has to be apolitical or non-partisan -- especially one in Petworth (DC IS a very left-leaning Democratic town afterall). Besides, all the Republicans can look on the bright side... if Obama wins, then their beer drinking is cheaper for the night, too. And if McCain wins, well, then we all share in the pain of higher costs and lost wages. (Sounds awfully "socialistic" -- egads!)
Cheers to Kera and W Domku!

Isn't that kind of extreme? Karaoke really isn't so bad ;)
Seriously, I assume you're put off by the pro-Obama aspect? Enough to stop going there??
