This morning, private contractors were installing a new water fountain by the children's play area on the 5th-Illinois-Webster, triangular part of the National Park Service-controlled turf, after last week's accident. It was nice to see that the Park Service has been so responsive. 

Deputy Superintendent Cindy Cox of the Rock Creek Park section of the National Park Service told me necessary repairs will continue.
