Just what the neighborhood needs, another fireworks stand.

In addition, Joy Kelly, the owner of Beveragemania, on Upshur near 9th (next to the barber shop), wants to talk to the ANC and hear from the community about her hopes to have a fireworks stand on the sidewalk at 9th and Upshur.
Petworth residents might want to stop in to Beveragemania to share their thoughts. (Of course I'll ask permit-related questions.)
Beveragemania is the ice-cream and soft-drinks shop on Upshur. Ms. Kelly told me she owns the whole corner and hopes to have a cafe on the 9th Street side someday...
I will ask Ms. Kelly if she has an email address to share with us. Feel free to share your thoughts with Commissioner Shanel Anthony whose single-member district includes this corner.
Hey, tell the rest of us on the ANC, too. Email me, include your name and address, I will see that your commissioner gets your email: [email protected]

Larry Clark of Donatelli and Klein, the developers of Park Place (over the Petworth Metro), has asked that Donatelli/Mosaic be on the agenda to discuss their plans to submit an offer for the 3800 Georgia Avenue lots (across from the Petworth Safeway).
