I thought people would like to know about websites where you can check where sex offenders live. Of course parents would be most interested but I think it's also good to be informed and aware of these things in general.

So, if you're a parent, just how do you act on the information in these registries? "Oh look, honey, that 50-year-old guy from next-door is a convicted rapist. Maybe we shouldn't ask him to babysit anymore."

Jeesh! For every convicted child-molester, there's probably a dozen un-convicted molesters. So, instead of relying on this ludicrous "Scarlet Letter" scheme, just keep an eye on your kids, OK?
