[from Valeria Guelman]
I am very happy to announce that we are finished with the makeover project of Moroni and Brother’s Pizzeria Restaurant and we are proud to invite you to its first big inauguration night! Come join the celebration on Thursday, February the 21st at 6:30pm.
In addition to the outstanding thin crust pizza, we look forward to sharing with you an improved ambiance! The new interior, photography by a local artist, and good music are not to be missed. Moroni's will also offer a selection of Italian wines, German and Salvadoran beers, and espresso beverages. Please come and join your friends and fellow Petworthians as we celebrate the reinvention of a true community restaurant.
We are Moroni Brother's regulars. Usually call in an order and pick it up on the way home from work. The Diavola is a favorite pie, but I just recently tried their El Salvadorean dishes as well. Not bad - the plantains were great -- not too greasy, hard, or mushy as is often the case at local restaurants. I've noticed the improved ambience and more diners when I pick up my orders. I can only encourage others to continue to support this restaurant and other neighborhood spots. I just tried Meridian at Georgia and Missouri. A little overpriced, but a great addition to the neighborhood.

Dear all-
Thank you very much for coming to the event last night! It was so much fun! The atmosphere was so great that I felt like it was a house party, but at a restaurant. Stephanie, Josh, Giacomo, Guillermo, Carlos, Luke and everybody else who's helped us reinvent "Moroni & Bros" - THANK YOU!

Great pizza although wayyyy overpriced. $15 for a 12 inch!!! In Petworth??!!! I'm also really annoyed by the concept of the personal sized gourmet pizza. Why can't DC have a great (emphasis on great) 18-20 inch pie? Lastly, I ordered 2 pizzas from Moroni one very cold night. The driver didn't even deliver the pizzas in a thermal bag. Needless to say, the pizzas were cold when they arrived.

the jukebox is way too loud in there. i was so annoyed while waiting for the pizza....i LOVE the pizza though so i will go again for sure. next time, i'll ask them to turn it down.

Can't come, but I'm sorry to miss it! I drove by the storefront the other day and it looked great!

ATM Fee, boohoo... I've always paid with credit card. Things do occasionally break/malfunction you know.

We paid for our pizza on Saturday with a Visa card, so it looks as though they are taking credit cards again.

Does this mean that you will be taking credit cards again, or do you still send your customers down the street to the ATM?

I'll definitely be there for the grand re-opening. It's a great reason to pick up some incredible pizza. Any idea if they'll be showing Lost at 9? :)

Cool - hey is this why we couldn't get anyone to answer the phone there on Tuesday 2/11?
And I agree with the other comment - it's way too loud in there. The waitress did (slowly) turn it down on request, but was obviously displeased with the request.
Still, I like the place and I love the food, so I'm looking forward to seeing what's changed.

I noticed some of the interior improvements when I was picking up our weekly Friday pizza. It does look nicer now. Wish table cloths could be there as well. Noticed the wine selection and juke box - it was a bit too loud to my taste but I am sure they will turn it down at request.

I can't wait to see the new face of Moroni & Bros. and delve into a tasty pizza pie! Especially with a glass of Italian red...
