[from Valeria Guelman]
I would like to thank everyone for such a great response to the posting about Moroni & Brothers! Your excited reviews created some buzz in the neighborhood and brought us some new hungry Petworthians to feed! Thank you! To make Moroni’s an even more desirable place for dining, we would like to ask you for any advice on how we can improve the ambiance of the restaurant and may be even alter the image of the place. If you have any suggestions, or if you might know an interior designer willing to help us, please respond to this posting or send me an email directly. Thank you very much for your support!

Love this place as it is. Close enough that delivery comes soft and warm. Has a unique vibe that isn't anything but what it is. Don't need another trendy whatever. Bless the hard working folks who own and run this place.

Let's make it not necessarily upscaly, but cozy, a jukebox playing all the favorites...Millie and Al's jukebox could be a model.
Lighting... could lend to a cozy atmosphere and the prices need to be reasonable.

I would like to see the place receive a major "class" upgrade. The food is DIVINE! But, there is TOTALY to much stuff in the window, bad lighting, and not to be redundant but just an over all ambiance issue. In addition, the overhang could use a major facelift as well. I would just like the appearance to mach the food in excellence. I’m honestly one of those people who go into a place based on how it looks, and I would have never known the food was so good if Barry (the owner of FUSION a couple of doors down) didn’t recommend it.
I live in Petworth and just hope that we continue to grow and upgrade. SUPPORT OUR LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS!!!

The pizza is awesome. I have been about 4 times now and have never been disappointed.
I would suggest a little ambience upgrade - better art, table clothes, candles, lighting. The liquor license is coming soon - I believe late November. Although the latino food is good, I am fearful that they might turn into the pizza-sub-chicken-seafood-latin place (as opposed to the pizza-sub-chicken-seafood-chinese place) and not be differentiated from the other store-front places on Georgia. I’d like to see them step it up to the next level of dining and differentiate themselves because I think that the pizza is right on and the family/service is so great.

I think everything is great. I come for the pizza...it's fabulous, and we're so lucky to have you in our neighborhood. Every time I've come to pick up a pizza I've found a spot right in front. No need for delivery. No need for new chairs, plants or pictures. The food is great...why spend money on things I'm not going to eat???

They do deliver!

it would be great if you offered vegan cheese. I'm not sure if your pizza dough has eggs or butter in it, but a vegan option would be great. Trust me, it would bring in a lot of new business from the area. Pizza Pardiso has vegan cheese and they sell a lot of pizzas with it.

Yes, the cat came back on her own. Happened so quick I just took down the post. Probably would've been better to leave it so people knew what happened, sorry...

I think a lot could be done to make the aesthetics/ambiance of the place rise to the level of the pizza. Even just better lighting, some art on the walls, a few details here and there would help a lot. Of course I'd love to keep them as a neighborhood gem, but to really prosper I would think they'll need to be appealing as a sit-down destination for people a bit further away.
Just today I heard that design and funding help may be on the way. No details yet, and don't want to jinx it, so stand tuned...

This is slightly off topic, but I would be a more frequent costumer if they delivered. The pizza is great!

Another thing which should not cost all too much: table cloths.
Had their fantastic pizza again yestrerday! :)

I seriously don't have a single problem with Moroni Brothers.
I assume a liquor license is forthcoming, which would be great.
It bears repeating -- Moroni pizza >>>> Red Rocks pizza.

Hi, first off, I LOVE their pizza. A bit too much toppings at times (yeah, I guess I am strange that way), but I can easily ask them to go easy. Crust is fantastic! And the service is superduper nice. :)
On ambiance, all this of course costs some money, but:
* more plants would be great
* improve lighting, e.g. by istalling a few lighting fixtures on the wall; current lighting is a bit harsh
* change the chairs to wooden ones, perhaps gradually to make the cost easier to bear
* think of ways to improve the general attractiveness of the cash register area
I would like to repeat though that the ambiance is already great thanks to the super nice staff. The only thing in that regard is that some people may find a bit too much of a "family hangout". I.e. some of the sons/extended family hanging out, fiddling their cell phones etc. But that's part of the charm too.
