[from Patrick Scott]
My neighbor at 115 Varnum has lost his dog, a boxer named Duke. Duke is a great dog, kind of on the skinny side for a boxer, likes to jump and loves to get attention. He got out of the back yard on Monday, May 21st. If you have seen this dog, please contact the owner at 115 Varnum, or you can email me.
Hi everyone,
I went to the Animal Shelter and found Duke the boxer safe and sound. I let Duke's caretaker know as well. Just wanted to share the good news!

Hi JB,
How is Duke aggressive? When he got loose before, I had him in my backyard with my dog and they played really well together. I've fed him several times and pet him through the fence and he's never once been aggressive in a mean sense, but is aggressive for attention, he just soaks it up. Just like any other dog would.

I feel badly for the owners of DUKE and for any dog in this situation. I know this dog and I'm afraid he suffers from neglect and is quite aggressive. Yesterday they were emptying literally mountains of trash and debris from this residence so there is more here than meets the eye. There are too many dog owners who really shouldn't own dogs, as they just leave them out in the yards, out of sight out of mind...it's tragic. Someone may have taken him or just opened the gate...

A loose boxer in the neighborhood? Great. Just what Petworth needs--more loose dogs.
Great job.
