Front porch repair

I'm thinking of having my front porch spruced up. Fixing the cracks in the cement sidewalk, painting, etc. Any recommendations for a small firm or individual who does this kind of work?

I've been daydreaming about the same kinds of repairs on our typical Petworth rowhouse. What I want done is a refinished porch and those flat gray slate stones overlaid on the existing concrete steps. I bet any stonemason (I've seen lettered vans go by) can do this kind of work. Get some free estimates first.
