A group of Petworth residents that formed around the Soldiers Home development issue has created a website for their wider vision. Washington Central Parks is committed to interconnected park space from Fort Totten south to the McMillan reservoir site:
www.washingtoncentralparks.org (I've added their URL to Blogs and Sites list in the left sidebar)
Reyn Anderson, one of the founders, was on the Kojo Nnamdi show on NPR recently, and had a 5-7 minute slot to talk about their plans. Here's a link to where it appears in the archives.
This is a wonderful and creative idea. I'll do what I can.

Reyn's interview was outstanding! And I agree with Kojo! Looking forward to hearing more about Washington Central Parks.

I just listened to it, Reyn did a really great job. Her part starts around the 13 minute point. After her initial summary of the concept, Kojo's first words were "sounds like the best idea I've heard in a long time"!
