ANC 4C resignation

I received an email from Commissioner Kenneth Alexander (4C02) today noting that he has moved from the area represented by ANC 4C and has resigned as commissioner of his single member district.

Unfortunately because of the timing of his resignation, SMD 4C02, per DC law, will remain without representation on ANC 4C for the remainder of his term. Next month, eligible candidates for all ANC seats may obtain nomination petitions to begin the groundwork towards running in this November's elections. The new ANC terms start at the beginning of January after commissioners are sworn in.

I will provide guidelines to the election process in the coming days. In the meantime, interested prospective candidates may find out more information from the DC Board of Elections website.
