PLAY TENNIS DAY was Sunday, July 17th. Over 30 volunteers worked with over 200 Petworth residents at Raymond Rec Center (10th and Spring Road in NW) to construct a tennis practice wall and paint a community mural designed by Virginia resident Carrie Madigan.
The Raymond tennis courts at 10th and Spring Rd have undergone a wonderful revitalization. Use them! They have been swept clean of debris and cleared of weeds, there are two beautiful new nets, and a volunteer constructed / neighbor painted tennis practice wall. Show some art appreciation and hit balls against it. These are your courts.
