New Ward 4 health clinic

Mary's Center for Maternal and Child Care will hold the grand opening of its new Health Center at 508 Kennedy Street on Saturday, July 9, noon to 4pm. This center will be the first and only community health center located in the District's Ward 4. 

Mary's Center-Kennedy Street will provide adult medicine, pediatric medicine, and midwifery-based prenatal care. No longer will Ward 4 residents have to travel to Mary's Center in Ward 1 or to other parts of the District or neighboring states to see a doctor. In addition, patients with limited English ability will benefit from bilingual English/Spanish speaking medical and social services staff, as well as Mary's Center outreach workers who speak Spanish, Amharic and Vietnamese. Mary's Center will provide:

• General screenings (height, weight and blood pressure)
• Pregnancy testing
• HIV testing and counseling
• Dental screening
• Health education
• Blood pressure testing
• Alliance enrollment and Medicaid enrollment assistance through DC Chartered Health Plan

All services will be free.
